What is Hooper? Well,,,,, Hooper is a state of mind, a place full of fun and satire, a Virtual On-line Community.

Hooper originated as a fictional tiny hamlet that was found on no map in a series of short stories written by a Ontarian. Its location is a little south of the Trans Canada Highway in Ontario. It is a place where the inhabtants on a daily basis find themselves plunged into the most hilarious of happenings that one could imagine. 

  Two gentlemen laughed themselves silly over the stories. So did their friends. Then,,,,, they set out to publish the stories. After they did that, they realized that Hooper was so much fun that they would have to put it on the internet and share it with every one.

  Why is Hooper fun? Well,,,,, wild and wacky things happen there everyday, or so the stories tell us. And Elwood is trying to solve a deep mystery amid all the  madcap happenings. To make matters worse the hamlet is so archaic that most residents still use outhouses. To make matters even worse than this, a little alien gets abandoned there by his research team and becomes a chicken thief. Top this off with a raggedly dressed old Native whom Elwood suspects may be a Algonquin deity (The Trickster ) and you might think that anything could happen. Well,,,,, there's still more. The old Native guy has a pet skunk. Toss in a used car saleman who would sell dirt to his grandmother if he could,  a nice old lady with a tomcat that wrecks eveyones flowers, a cafe owner who can't cook, but tries and Mayor who owns a whiskey "still "and you almost know what Hooper's like. But not quite.      

  Now you have to factor in the owner of The Hooper Clarion who gets upset because the citizens use his newspapers for toilette paper  and a doctor that has more animals than people for clients. And of course there is Cyrus Williams, a reclusive chicken farmer with a 350 pound pet pig. Then we have Ralph's Basset  Hound, Willie, who is the unoffical Mayor of Hooper, much to Claudes consternation.
